Note:
While all our guests will be offered plenty of opportunities to try their luck at fishing, in this aspect of our tours, priority will be allocated to those paying the premium rates. Guests may temporarily transfer their priority rating to anyone they choose.
Grand Illusion is specifically laid out and equipped to provide "fun fishing" for all our guests - no matter if they have never held a fishing rod in their life.

Fridays: Inshore day tours.
Saturdays & Sundays: 2 day, 1 night, combination Inshore / Offshore camping tours.
Monthly schedule
Last week (mon. : fri.) of each calendar month: 5 day /4 night camping tours.
Private charters: Booking must be confirmed 120 days before departure date
Departure time from our dock (for all tours) is 7.30 a.m. - return to dock at 4.30 p.m.
Rates include ground transfers from anywhere within a 1 hour drive of our dock. There may be a modest transfer surcharge - for those on the outer limits of our pickup zone - depending on location and numbers of guests requiring transfers from that particular area. Those who wish to handle their own ground transfers may deduct $10 from the tour price.
We provide an impressive array of top of the line equipment for fishing , snorkeling, free diving, kayaking and "extreme hammocking - plus a wide assortment of beach and water toys - and luxurious tents for our overnight trips. Even more impressive, is the extensive array of equipment provided and great attention to layout design - which ensures that everyone can find a "sweet spot" for laying back and watching the natural "parade" .
Breakfast, lunch, (dinner on our overnight trips) snacks (including a wide variety of fresh fruit) and an equally wide variety of beverages - and, of course afternoon tea are included. This is definitely not one of your "cheese? ham? or tuna? tours". You will be surprised and delighted by the wide, constantly changing, array of tasty dishes offered - many with a Caribbean accent and, naturally, featuring a variety of fresh seafood.
For those who cannot be tempted by the wide array offerings from Neptune's larder, we will always have a couple of juicy steaks or pork chops on hand - to throw on the grill. Those who are into neither "Surf" nor "Turf" will find that Chiriqui "the bread basket of Panama" provides a wonderful assortment of fresh vegetables for our chef to create a variety of vegetarian delights.
Our aim is to provide a pleasant peaceful ambience on our tours - in harmony with the tranquil pristine environment which we are visiting. We would like each and every one of of guests to feel as though they are the personal guests of the owner on his "private yacht". One of the owners will always be aboard (often with family members ) to ensure that their guests receive the type of service befitting their "personal guest of the owner" status.
As such, we are definitely not in the "booze crooze" business. However, cold beer will be always be available along with other cold light refreshments - and you may rest assured that your hosts will see to it that you are offered cocktails and aperitifs at appropriate times and, of course, wine with lunch. As mentioned before, we also, are definitely, not in the "cattle boat" business. Maximum guest numbers of 24 (on a 76 ft catamaran) make for a spacious, relaxed ambience - conducive to mingling with your fellow guests and hosts - or not - as the mood strikes you.
In custom planning your vacation package, you will find there is a wealth of exciting activities available in the lush green mountain areas close by. These activities include white water rafting, hiking, horseback riding, trout fishing, ziplining and bird watching. There is a even a cool mountain Golf course for the more traditional minded.
For those groups, with one or more serious experienced "hardcore" sport fisherman, there are plenty of options in our area (particularly in the vicinity of Boca Chica and Boca Brava) for "hard core" classic sport fishing and accommodation packages. It is also likely that arrangements may be made, with several of these operations, for 1 day tours - both for sport fishing and scuba diving.
For those who are simply out and out beach people (particularly those into surfing) another accommodation option is available at Playa Barqueta - only a 25 minute drive from our dock. Here, besides mile upon mile of beaches, with excellent virtually pristine surf breaks, there are also upscale resorts. These resorts also offer golf and tennis - if you can stand the heat. For a third group, who might prefer the amenities of a large town (small city) there is a wide choice of accommodation available in and around David - the second or third (depends on who you ask) largest metropolitan area in Panama.
You select your mountain top hideaway (or your fishing lodge, or your beach front resort - or your city hotel) and your alternative activities and we will provide the "Magic Carpet" - to take you away to your private tropical island paradise - on the days of your choosing.
