Panama Adventure Tours - Beach Camping.
The choices in our cruising area are virtually endless in every aspect of our tours - and this certainly applies to locations for setting up our beach camp. Once we have chosen our general area, our guests will still have endless options as to where to set up their individual sleeping tents. With a minimum of 1 kayak available for every 2 campers, access between Grand Illusion and tbe beach camp(s) does not present a problem
For 1 night camping tours, top of the line, very spacious "4 person" (totally insect proof and well ventilated) camping tents are provided for each couple. These tents are furnished with king size air matresses, top of the line bedding and bedside lights. For our monthly multi night camping tours (also available on private charters) Camping facilities at the beach camp are enhanced with numerous canopies, extensive beach furniture, electricity and other services.
Whether just beach combing and exploring for a few hours - camping for 1 night - or for four, beach combers / campers will find a pristine, serene yet exciting environments to enjoy. On most of the islands in this archipelago, lush tropical rain forest borders the beaches. These forests contain a diversity of wild life - prone to poke there nose out to investigate their new neighbors on the beach.
On the larger islands, beach campers may encounter howler monkeys and other mamal species, iguanas, and a wide variety of bird life . The large tidal range in the area (10 - 12 ft) means that at low tide, there is a seriously wide beach - perfect for a game of beach soccer. This large tidal range also provides endless rocky tidal pools for exploring and shelling - whether for a collection or for the cooking pot.
